Introducing DROPS by TB2 Aerospace
Products
UAV/UGV Capture & Payload Solutions
TB2 Aerospace’s universal, drone-agnostic DROPS capture system and versatile payload pods automate the process of locating, identifying, delivering, and recovering different payloads for a variety of missions.
Drops
Pods are patented multi-mission payload attachments for the DROPS system, designed to enhance automation, provide greater flexibility, and add new multi-mission capabilities to UAV and UGV systems.
DROPS – GROUP 1 (Military)
The Teal UAV, paired with a DROPS visual alignment and docking system, allows for uninterrupted surveillance missions and quickly deployable UAV swarms. Individual Teal units can dock onto flat surfaces using the DROPS docking station while simultaneously receiving electrical charge from a central hub. This allows for UAVs to depart, conduct missions, return to base, and charge autonomously as part of a swarm that can be fully operated from a remote location. Several of the Teal/Group 1 systems can even be deployed at the same time using a larger DROPS pod as the ‘mother ship’.

DROPS – GROUP 2 (Military)
The DROPS Group 2 systems is ideal for airfield tactical resupply and middle mile cargo delivery. Under the Dragonfly 3XL, 10 kgs of cargo can be flown for 45 minutes. This system is best suited for delivery of medical supplies and small calibre ammunition. This system also can both deploy and recover sensor suites that contain vital battlefield data. Overall, the group 2 size perfectly suites these applications using a drone that can fit in a man-portable Peli case.

DROPS – GROUP 3 (Military)
Group 3 pods are the most standardized product that TB2 offers. The pods themselves can be stacked, transported, and mounted on an uncrewed vehicle. Group 3 pods are mainly carried via heavy-lift UAVs and will be most useful in tactical resupply missions delivering ammunition, Jerry cans of fuel or water, and other routine supplies aimed ensuring front line rate of advance is not limited by poor logistic supply. The group 3 system can also be adapted to carry non-pod payloads, such as robotic war-fighting dogs and many types of high-profile sensor suites (all of which are recoverable from contested areas).
Finally, the group 3 pods can be armoured thereby providing ballistic cover to soldiers when dropped in the field.

PODs
PODS is a patented multi-mission series of attachments for the DROPS system, designed to fit their corresponding DROPS system to add automation to many situations feeding into our values of ‘uncrewed where we can; crewed where necessary’, allowing for greater flexibility and options in unmanned combat.
PODS – CASEVAC Pod
The TB2 casualty evacuation (CASEVAC) pod is the largest DROPS-enabled payload in the arsenal. Its primary purpose is to allow UAVs to autonomously airlift wounded soldiers out of a contested area and to the nearest medical facility.
A CASEVAC pod will only contain very basic medical equipment.
Once it has life sustaining and monitoring equipment, it becomes a MEDEVAC pod,M which typically includes:
medical supplies, a stretcher, a tele-health tablet for remote monitoring of the soldier, and a variety of other life-saving equipment.

POdS – FUEL PODS
The DROPS enabled fuel pod, can be used to deliver fuel to front line vehicles and to specific FARPs to support of helicopter refuelling. The pods can be stacked and gravity fed from top to bottom. These pods can vary in size to suit mission requirements (replacing Jerry cans) and are compatible with UGVs as the DROPS docking system allows pods to be instantly secured using automatic latching mechanisms. More importantly, empty fuel pods can be autonomously returned back to a fuel centre to be filled and used again, thus maximizing the efficiency of a remote fuelling operation.

Partner Payloads
The DROPS system is highly versatile, allowing it to be attached to a number of partner payloads, bringing a high level of variation in its capabilities, allowing it to be suited to a multitude of different missions, scenarios, and environments. With the addition of partner payloads, the drop systems could be used efficiently for reconnaissance, combat, and cargo missions, among many other uses.
Partner payloads – Quadruped
The DROPS system can be customised and integrated with different payload types creating a significant differentiation to their capability.
The integration of a ‘Robodog’ platform allows:
Significant increase in operational range
Reduced human risk of any military deployment of the platform
Increase in agility through changing deployment positions autonomously
Additionally, the DROPS system flexibility allows the UAV to perform other missions with alternative payload capabilities.

Partner payloads – Grenade launcher
The DROPS can be designed to accommodate individual military applications.
The combination of the Grenade Launcher and the drops capability can offer a platform which allows the availability of a ‘stand-off’ system decreasing the threat level of the operatives.
Additionally, the DROPS system flexibility allows the UAV to perform other missions with alternative payload capabilities.

Partner payloads – Isr
ISR Solutions can be integrated into the DROPS system allowing for remote monitoring and recce, reducing the risk of personnel working under a higher level of threat to achieve the mission.
Additionally, the DROPS system flexibility allows the UAV to perform other missions with alternative payload capabilities.

Partner payloads – Missile launcher
The DROPS can be designed to accommodate individual military applications.
The combination of the Missile launcher and the drops capability can offer a platform which allows the availability of a ‘stand-off’ system decreasing the threat level of the operatives
Additionally, the DROPS system flexibility allows the UAV to perform other missions with alternative payload capabilities.
