Second US Army contract secured for TB2 Aerospace

New USAF funding awarded to support middle-mile UAV multi-purpose cargo and fuel pod development for austere operations
Through AFWERXs, the United States Air Forces (USAF) has awarded us a Phase 1 STTR to develop a multi-mission payload middle mile UAV cargo and fuel pod. These two systems will be used to bring tactical supplies to USAF bases established under the Agile Combat Employment Doctrine. The pods will also be designed to carry fluids such as fuel and water. TB2 awarded its first U.S Army contract
We have been awarded our first US Army SBIR. This Phase 1 contract will focus on the autonomous delivery of payloads up to 150km ahead of the forward line of troops to delay, deny or destroy enemy formations. Some of the payloads that we are planning to deliver under this grant include the Textron XM204 Smart Munition and the Ghost Robotics Vision 60 Quadruped. USAF funding granted to support the development of DROPS in autonomously establishing and replenishing an austere airfield
We are delighted to be awarded a Phase 2 STTR by AFWERX, this follows on from our first Phase 1 STTR issued in early 2023. We will be working with the 820th Base Defense Group out of Moody Air Force Base, Georgia to develop concepts of operations around DROPS. The payloads will be used to resupply Base Defense personnel with radios, water, food, and ammunition. We will be expanding into other systems that further support the work of the 820th Base Defense Group.
